Solar Imaging Session - August 31, 2009 - Nice Groups of Eruptive Prominences!

Because of the almost daily bad weather, I almost forgot that the Sun's position has already shifted back to the Easternly position for me to get an access again of it in my eastern window and that means I can start shooting the Sun again before I got to work :) Yahoo! But since I wake up late this morning, I had to wait till around lunchtime for me to image the Sun. When I looked through the Sun in Ha light with a Coronado PST, I was delighted to seeing my old friend Sol enticing me again to image him. So I quickly setup my imaging system and got to image several nice big prominences around the solar limb. They can be viewed below:

Non-Macro Shot of a Fly

Here's a beginner shot of a fly taken with a non-Macro lens while still undecided which Macro lens should I buy in the days to come? Maybe a Canon 100mm f/2.8 or MP-E65???? :) LOL
