Solar Imaging Session - March 26, 2023

The sky this lunchtime is clear and seeing condition is very good. numerous sunspot groups scatter along the Sun's surface with AR3256 and AR3260 Sunspot Groups being the larger ones. I was able to image the 2 big groups in white light, Ha and CaK wavelength. I also got to image the full disk in white light and CaK wavelength. not much large prominence visible on the solar limb.

March 24, 2023 Venus Lunar Occultation

The sky this evening is clear so my son KC and I went to Baywalk are in front of Aristocrat restaurant to setup and image the planet Venus getting occulted by the Crescent Moon. I image the event using Canon EOS M6 mirrorless camera on Canon EF100-400MM f/4.5-5.6 IS L Lens mounted on Vixen Polarie star tracker. Venus got occulted at around 19:51 (11:51 UT). Solar Imaging Session - March 19, 2023

The sky this afternoon is clear and seeing condition is fair. AR3256 Sunspot Group is large and entering from the SE limb. rest of the Sunspot groups are very small. Another nice feature today is a beautiful NE eruptive prominence which is also very beautiful to view visually as well. I got to image AR3256 Sunspot Group in WL, Ha and CaK wavelength.

Solar Imaging Session - March 12, 2023

The sky this afternoon is clear and seeing condition is good. I missed the big NE eruptive prominence this morning as I was attending a webinar so I started late after lunch and it was gone but the SE huge eruptive prominence is still visible and was nice to view and image. only AR3245 Sunspot Group is large while the rest are small to medium in size. I was able to image some of the medium and larger groups in white light, Ha and CaK wavelength.

Deep Sky Imaging Session - March 11, 2023

The sky this evening is clear but I wasn't able to start early as lot of children on the roofdeck playing and jumping around and moving in front of my setup to my disgust but Thank God they left past 8:30pm for me to still get some more time to image IC443 Jelly Fish Nebula in Gemini. I use a ZWO ASI294MC PRO camera on Borg 76ED Refractor with 0.8x Reducer / Flattener and Svbony SV220 Duo Filter with ASIAIR V1 on Vixen Starbook-S controller with Vixen GPDX mount. Total exposure of was only 90 minutes was made because of the bad scenario and taken on Unity Gain at -5 deg C . Hope to image this again with longer exposure. This is relatively bright compared to the dimmer SH2-308 Dolphin Nebula!

Deep Sky Imaging Session - March 7, 2023

I was planning to image IC443 Jelly Fish Nebula tonight but I forgot and set up my scope where it was obstructed by our building arc!!!! So I had no choice but to select another target in SH2-308 Dolphin Nebula in Canis Major. I wasn't expecting anything out of it with a Full Moon also in the sky but the SV220 Duo filter did help bring out some detail on the nebula but this is really faint and with a short total exposure of 120 minutes. I think it is not enough to make the image clean but nevertheless Im happy I got something out of the faint nebula. Will try agin under dark skies.

Solar Imaging Session - March 5, 2023

The sky in the afternoon is partly clear and seeing condition is fair. I had a hard time imaging as lots of passing clouds over the Sun so was only able to image AR3242 and AR3245 Sunspot Groups as well as a nice large SE hedgerow prominence.
