Deep Sky Imaging Session - March 4, 2023
I started late this evening to test if I can do some DSO imaging despite an almost Full Moon (90% Waxing Gibbous Moon) using the Svbony SV220 7nm Duo Filter. Surprisingly, M42 Great Orion Nebula still shows nice details despite the bright moonlight as well as low horizon position of the nebula when I started imaging it from 40 deg down to 20 deg! I use a ZWO ASI294MC PRO camera on Borg 76ED Refractor with 0.8x Reducer / Flattener and Svbony SV220 Duo Filter with ASIAIR on Vixen Starbook-S controller with Vixen GPDX mount. Total exposure of 60 minutes was taken on Unity Gain at -5 deg C .
