Solar Imaging Session - August 4, 2018
The sky this afternoon is partly cloudy and seeing is poor. I decided to use my portable solar setup with the Canon EF100-400mm this time. AR2717 Sunspot Group has lost its sunspot pore and is now only visible in the Ha wavelength as plage region. There is also a nice large eruptive prominence visible in the NE limb. Sky then gets cloudier and I have to quit imaging as I can hear thunder and sky dimming quite fast :(
