Solar Imaging Session - April 29, 2022

The sky this morning is clear and seeing condition is very good. AR2993 Sunspot Group has exited the NW limb leaving parts of AR2994 Sunspot Group visible near the limb. So it's almost good bye for the 2 big groups that treated all of us with great viewing and imaging since last week. AR2995 Sunspot Group is trailing behind and is nearing the NW limb as well leaving 2 moderate size AR2990 and AR3001 Sunspot Groups as something to monitor on the solar disk. No big prominences are visible in the solar limb. Small AR2997 Sunspot Group show its presence today but erupting a small bright flare! There are 2 huge twisting dark filaments surrounding AR2999 and AR3001 Sunspot Groups that are also a joy to view and image.

It's the traditional No Shadow Day again! The Sun is almost overhead and that no shadow is cast on any object at our latitude for a limited short time. For today's event, it should start at around 11:53am. One should still see almost no shadow more or less within 15 minutes of the said time.
In Manila, this happens twice a year only on April 29 and August 13 of each year. #noshadowday2022

Solar Imaging Session - April 28, 2022

The sky this morning is clear and seeing condition is very good. AR2994 and AR2993 Sunspot Groups are nearing the NW limb and most probably will see them exit the limb Ina day or two max. AR2995 Sunspot Group is also quiet like AR2994 and AR2993 Sunspot Groups. There are 2 huge hedgerow prominences in the NE and SE limb. The rest of the sunspot groups are small to moderate.

Solar Imaging Session - April 27, 2022

The sky this morning is partly cloudy and seeing condition is fair. AR2994 and AR2993 Sunspot Groups are nearing the NW limb and is quiet. AR2995 Sunspot Group gas some twisting dark filaments surrounding the group. AR3000 and AR3001 is quietly entering into the solar surface. Small possible AR3002 and Ar3003 Sunspot Groups shows bright flaring on its core. There are 3 huge prominences visible on the solar limb. I was able to image both 3 wavelengths this morning.
