Solar Imaging Session - April 18, 2025
The sky this lunchtime is clear and seeing condition very good. AR4062 Region continues to grow in size as well as AR4064. New AR4067 Region is also promising. No large prominences visible on the Sun's limb as well today.

Solar Imaging Session - April 17, 2025
The sky this afternoon is clear but seeing condition is poor. AR4062 Region is the largest group on the Sun's disk followed by AR4064 and AR4060 Regions. Very small prominences can be seen on the Sun's limb. A quiet Sun indeed.

Deep Sky Imaging Session - April 12-13, 2025
The sky this evening at Viewscape Nature Park is partly cloudy but it later started to cleared up late in the evening till past midnight. I was with Alex Fajardo who brought along his ZWP Seestar twin S50 and S30 Smart Scopes while I brought along my usual Borg 76ED Refractor mounted on an ZWO AM5 mount as well as Dwarf 3 Smart Scope. We were later joined by Viewscape veteran Jhun Bogtae around midnight to meet with us and also try to image the new comet C/2025 F2 Swan which will be rising before sunrise in the NE horizon. He brought along his Astro Scientific AR102 Refractor mounted on a ZWO AM3 mount.
I was able to image IC2944 Running Chicken Nebula in the constellation of Carina and M8 Lagoon and M20 Triffid Nebula in the constellation of Sagittarius using the Borg 76ED Refractor. I also image NGC 6357 Lobster and NGC6334 Cat's Paw Nebula in the constellation of Scorpius using the Dwarf 3 Smart Scope.
I also manage to get a short 3 minute total exposure of the Comet C/2025 F2 Swan in the constellation of Pegasus just before the sky brightens up before 5:00am. The comet is very small on my Borg 76ED Refractor but is bright enough to be captured at around magnitude +7.5 . Overall, the session was great as was able to meetup Jhun for the 1st time since we are friends several years ago already. After our traditional group shot, we had a hot bulalo soup and rice as breakfast before going home feeling satisfied. Hope to observe again with these wonderful guys!

Asteroid 8 Flora Passed by NGC 3628 Galaxy
Yesterday was cloudy so I wasnt able to image Asteroid 8 Flora passing through NGC 3628 in constellation Leo. But after our basketball practice game, I try to image it through passing thin cloud and haze but was only able to capture a short 23 minute integration time only thus a slightly noisy image but the asteroid is bright enough to be visible on the image nevertheless.

Lunar Imaging Session - April 10, 2025
The sky this evening is clear and the beautiful Waxing Gibbous Moon (almost 94.8%)is rising high from the eastern horizon thus I just made a quickie shot of it using Dwarf 3 Smart Scope at Astro Mode with VIS Filter at AZ mode. 50 stacked imaged with 1/800 sec exposure at Gain 0 before it get obstructed by the building.

Lunar Imaging Session - March 13, 2025
The sky this evening is clear and the beautiful Full Moon (almost 99.3%)is rising beautifully from the eastern horizon thus I just made a quickie shot of it using Dwarf 3 Smart Scope at Astro Mode with VIS Filter at AZ mode. 50 stacked imaged with 1/1000 sec exposure at Gain 0.

Deep Sky Imaging Session - March 10, 2025
The sky this late evening is clear so I quickly setup to image the small but beautiful SH2-274 Medusa Nebula in the constellation of Gemini. Unfortunately I was only able to image around 60 minutes only before clouds started rolling in block target object. It later cleared but the object is laready low in the western horizon only. Nevertheless, still quite happy with the result despite a short integration time.

Lunar Imaging Session - March 6, 2025
The sky this evening is partly cloudy and I use Dwarf 3 Smart Scope to image the beautiful Quarter Moon at Astro Mode with VIS Filter at AZ Mode with 50 stacked image at 1/500 sec exposure at Gain 0.

Deep Sky Imaging Session - March 4, 2025
The sky this evening is clear so I setup my telescope to try imaging the faint SH2-261 Lower's Nebula or Eye of Ra in the constellation of Orion. I was able to capture a total of 120 minutes exposure using ZWO ASI294MC Pro Astro Camera on Borg 76ED Refractor with 1x Flattener with SVBony SV220 Duo Band Filter at -5 deg C.
I also use the Dwarf 3 Smart Scope to simultaneusly image old favorite M42 Great Orion Nebula also in the constellation of Orion with a total exposure of 60 minutes at Astro Mode with Astro Filter at EQ Mode at Gain 60.

Solar Imaging Session - March 3, 2025
The sky this morning is partly cloudy but seeing is good. AR4004 / AR4007 Region has grown a little more from yesterday's size and is a little more complex in structure. AR4008/AR4009 Region is decaying fast while the new AR4012 region is also growing in size as well. The large NE eruptive prominence is decaying and getting a little fainter than yesterday view.
