Solar Imaging Session - January 2, 2016
My first solar imaging session for 2016! The Sun despite lacking large sunspot groups now showed it beauty with several huge prominences on the solar limb specially the western wide hedgerow prominence! Departing AR2473 Sunspot Group shows its last hurrah with a M-Class Flare! There is also a huge dark filament on the center of the Sun's disk as well. In white light, aside from departing AR2473 Sunspot Group, there are 2 small sunspot groups namely AR2476 and 2477 visible coming out of the eastern limb.
