Solar Imaging Session - March 5, 2012 (Huge AR11429 Sunspot Group!)

The sky this morning is clear and seeing was very good. AR11429 Sunspot Group continues to grow in size while new AR11430 Sunspot Group is also growing to the west of AR11429 Sunspot Group. AR11428 Sunspot Group is also growing in size while a new possible AR11431 Sunspot Group is emerging int he SW quadrant. AR11423 Sunspot Group is starting to exit the western limb followed by decaying AR11427 Sunspot Group.

In Ha wavelength, AR11429 Sunspot Group shows a bright flare inside its core as well as smaller AR11430 Sunspot Group. There is also a moderate sized eruptive prominence visible in the SE limb. There are a total of 6 sunspot groups visible on the Sun right now.
