Solar Imaging Session - September 2, 2021

The sky this morning is cloudy and seeing is poor. I was trying to inage AR2860 Sunspot Group before it exits the SW limb in 2 days more or less. In Ha wavelength, AR2860 is quiet but adding a little flare is. Nice eruptive prominence on the limb. Actually lots of large prominences on the western limb but due to the almost totally clouded situation, I was only to inage the huge eruptive prominence in the NW limb only. In white light wavelength, AR2860 Sunspot Group is still nice to view. There is also new AR2863 Sunspot Group in the SE quadrant but is not that large. I wasn't again able to image on CaK wavelength as I run out of time fighting with the clouds as well as building obstruction. :(

Solar Imaging Session - August 29, 2021

The sky this morning is cloudy and I want to see how AR2860 Sunspot Group looks like. So I set up a quicky solar imaging session but clouds is really pestering me so I was only able to image large AR2860 Sunspot group in white light as well as Ha wavelength only as too many clouds really make my seeing erratic. AR2860 Sunspot Group shows large flaring activity inside its main umbra core while in white light close up, AR2860 Sunspot Group is lovely to view as well!

Solar Imaging Session - August 6, 2021

Due to start of our Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ) starting today Aug 6 to Aug 20, 2021, our store has to close down. In light of this, I was able to find a small window of clear sky after lunch to image 2 huge hedgerow prominences in the SW limb. After I image the 2 features, clouds covered the Sun once again and I had to packed up as well.

Solar Imaging Session - August 1, 2021

The sky this morning is hazy and seeing condition is fair. It's been more than 18 days sine my last imaging session due to continuous rains and bad weather! Lots of thick clouds passing in front of the Sun this morning and I was only able to take 2 shots of AR2846 and 2849 Sunspot Groups before I got totally clouded out and rained! I was able to image a very faint large looped prominence in the NW limb near AR2846 Sunspot Group.

Good thing I was imaging on covered parking area so I was able to packed up safely despite hard rain.

Solar Imaging Session - July 14, 2021

The sky this morning is partly cloudy and hazy. AR2842 Sunspot Group is nice but still very quiet in terms of flaring activity. Same goes with new AR2834 and 2841 Sunspot Group. There is a nice large wide dark filament visible above AR2844 near the NE quadrant. A beautiful large group of eruptive prominences can also be seen in the NW limb.

Solar Imaging Session - July 12, 2021

The sky this morning is partly. Cloudy and hazy. Seeing condition is fair. AR2842 Sunspot Group is starting to exit the Wilson Effect. AR2841 Sunspot Group is decaying fast as well. There are 2 large prominences visible in the NE and SW limb.  Both sunspot group are very quiet.

Solar Imaging Session - July 11, 2021

The sky this morning is cloudy and hazy. Seeing condition is also not that good. AR2941 Sunspot Group is active with flares in its core while a new AR2842 Sunspot Group is emerging from the NE limb so I guess this week will. Not get that bored after all as AR2835 Sunspot Group had already exited the SW limb a few days ago.
