Solar Imaging Session - July 31, 2026

The sky this morning is cloudy but I got a short cloud opening for me to image the Sun before I got obstructed by the tall building beside our place. Seeing condition surprisingly is very good despite the very cloudy sky ! AR4498 Region continues to grow and together beside the smaller AR4500 Region is a nice close pair of active region in the NE quadrant. AR4492 Region is near the NW limb already while AR4496, AR4499 and AR4501 Regions are stable and quiet. In Ha wavelength, the Huge Eruptive Prominence in the NW limb eclipse the beauty of AR4498 Region as well as the beautiful long twisting Dark Filament that is ejecting out of departing AR4492 Region.

Solar Imaging Session - July 30, 2026

The sky this afternoon is slightly hazy but seeing condition is good. AR4498 Region is starting grow in size. AR4496 Region is also large while AR4492 Region is statying to exit into the NW limb. In Ha wavelength, AR4498 Region is slightly active in flaring activity while exiting AR4492 Region has a beautiful huge long twisting Dark Filament that is ejecting out from it. There is also a beautiful Huge Group of Eruptive Prominences in the NE limb.

Lunar Imaging Session - July 29, 2026

The sky this evening is cloudy and I was able to take a shot of the Full Moon through light clouds using my Dwarf 3 Smart Scope at Astro Mode with VIS Filter at AZ Mode. Stack of 20 images at 1/250sec exposure at Gain 0.

Solar Imaging Session - July 23, 2026

The sky this afternoon is very hazy and cloudy while seeing condition is also poor. AR4493 Region is still the dominant region on the Sun while the rest of the other 3 groups are very quiet. Had a hard time imaging the active regions because of the thick haze and poor seeing condition. Anyway, still better than nothing at all as this morning is clouded out and I wasn't even expecting to image the Sun.
