Solar Imaging Session - January 27, 2017

Happy Chinese New Year! The sky this morning is very cloudy and hazy. I thought it was an impossibility to get any shots of the Sun. But at around 9:45am, there was some small breaks in the clouds for me to test the 0.5x reducer if it is ok but I'm disappointed as I see bean effect at the middle of the Sun disk! :( So I revert back to image without the reducer. Seeing condition is poor as expected but I was able to get a shot of the large group of eruptive prominence in the NE limb as well as AR2629 Sunspot Group before I got obstructed by our roof. Images are not that good but I'm still happy on it as it's been very cloudy the past few days already .
