Solar Imaging Session - November 16, 2015

The sky this morning is clear and seeing condition is good. The huge looped dark filament finally snapped for good after 8 long days! Although he residual looped filament can still be faintly seen, it is expected to be more dispersed by tomorrow or perhaps even gone. There is also a large hedgerow prominence visible in the SE limb.

The sky this morning is partly cloudy and I have to wait for a small opening to make some quickie shots of the Sun in Ha wavelength only. The huge looped dark filament that looks like a necklace before has snapped already and started to deteriorate as well. There is a nice group of eruptive prominence in the SW limb but are not that large though.

The sky this morning is clear and seeing condition is good. I image only the necklace shaped dark filament with AR2449 Sunspot Group as rest of the areas as awfully quiet.

Solar Imaging Session - November 13, 2015

The sky this morning is clear and seeing condition is very good. Almost all the remaining sunspot groups on the Sun are decaying fast and both in Ha and white light wavelength and what is left to have interest is the still widening huge looped dark filament which is now becoming like a necklace of fire :) No large prominences are visible on the Sun's limb today except for very small ones only.

With the remaining few sunspot group decaying fast, I image only in Ha wavelength centered on the huge looped dark filament in the SE quadrant or we can also refer to it as the Ring of Fire :) Included also on the frame is AR2449 Sunspot Group.

Solar Imaging Session - November 11, 2015

The sky this morning is clear but seeing condition is only average. The huge looped dark filament in the SE limb is still going strong and showing more of its monstrosity as it rotates into view. AR2449 and 2448 Sunspot Group still show some flaring activity inside their core. In white light, both AR2449 and 2448 Sunspot Groups are deteriorating very fast each passing day and I'm expecting to further decay more in the days to come.

The sky this morning is partly cloudy and seeing condition is ok. There is a huge looped dark filament visible in the SE limb beside AR2449 Sunspot Group. AR2448 Sunspot Group is quiet. There is also a nice large eruptive prominence on the SW limb. I was able to image in white light but seeing deteriorates fast as clouds started to cover up the Sun :(
