Solar Imaging Session - April 4, 2012 (Huge SW Hedgerow Prominence & NE Dark Filaments !!!)

The sky this morning is clear and seeing is fair as well. There is a huge hedgerow prominence that is visible in the SW limb as well as another large eruptive prominence in the SE limb. A nice group of eruptive prominences are also visible in the NW limb.

AR11445 Sunspot Group is exiting the SW limb and will probably be gone by tomorrow. AR11450 Sunspot Group is large but has a simple structure while returning AR11429 Sunspot Group which is now designated AR11452 has also a simple group structure as well. There are only 4 sunspot group on the Sun today.

As I was planning to image in white light, clouds started to cover the area where the Sun is located ( what else is new here :) LOL )thus ending my solar imaging session as I had to report for work but I;m looking forward to doing more solar and planetary imaging work during the 5 day holiday lenten break starting tomorrow :) Yahoo!
